Donna Gene Hageman Chenoweth, 66 of Higginsville, MO, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2010 at Cass County Regional Medical Center.

The daughter of Clifford and Novia Lambert, Donna was born on December 1st, 1943 in Livingston MT.  She grew up on the family ranch up Deep Creek near Livingston and attended school with her brother, Larry, and her sister, Jan.

In 1967, she had her daughter, Bobbie and in 1969 her son Thomas was born and in 1978, she and her children moved to Absarokee.  A few years later, they moved to Columbus where she made her home until 1994. 

In 1985, Donna met the love of her life, LeRoy Chenoweth, and they drove truck together for many years.  They married on June 28th, 1996 at their home in Higginsville MO.  In 1998, Donna took a job driving the OATS van for the Higginsville Senior Center and became friends with all her beloved passengers.  It broke her heart to have to stop in 2007 because of her health.

She loved spending time with her family, her friends and her garden.  Donna, we’ll miss you so much—your sense of humor, your love and compassion, and your beautiful spirit.

Donna was preceded in death by her mother, Novia, father, Clifford, and her brother, Larry.

She leaves behind her husband, LeRoy; her sister, Jan Van Gorp; her son Thomas Hageman and his children, Monica, Victoria, Julia, and Danielle; her daughter Bobbie Brekhus (Barry); her niece Mashell Petersen (Bill); nephews, Mike Petersen (Wendy) and Chris Petersen (Susan), and her aunt, Beryl Foltz.  She also leaves behind her many wonderful girlfriends who she loved so much.

Cremation has taken place. Interment will be held in the spring at Shorthill Cemetery.

     I am so sorry you have lost your grandmother.    I hope you have many precious memories to cherish.

 

     The last time I saw all of you, you looked well and happy.   I hope you continue to do well and are succeeding at school.
