Erma Armstrong Munson
Erma Armstrong Munson passed away on August 8 in Great Falls, Montana. She was 83 years old. Visitation will be 5-8pm Wednesday at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary. Graveside services will be 2pm Thursday, August 12 at the Laurel Cemetery.
Erma was born on June 20, 1927 to Milton and Lula Armstrong in
Mohall, ND. She grew up on the family farm in North Dakota. It
was there she met Wesley Munson. They were married on March 3rd,
1947 in Minot, ND. They later moved to Billings, MT where Wes
was custodian at Elder Grove School and Erma worked as a
cleaning lady for private families. She watched their families
grow as well as her own. Wes died in 1983 and Erma moved a
couple years later to Great Falls, MT to be near her daughter
and her family. Erma enjoyed spending time with her family,
especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a
longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Billings as
well as the First United Methodist Church in Great Falls.
Erma is survived by her daughter, Barbara (David) Montgomery of Great Falls, son Milton (Darlene) Munson of Klamath Falls, OR. She has 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband Wes, and grandson Karom Montgomery.
