Rosalinda Kober Anderson
Rosalinda Kober Anderson returned home to be with her Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ on August 8, 2010. She was born March 17,
1922, in Powell, Wyoming, the daughter of Gottlieb and Sophia
(Lehman) Kober, the third of 6 children. Both of her parents
were born in Sussanenthal, Russia, and were Volga Germans. Her
father was a farm laborer and her mother a housewife. She was
raised in the Park City and Billings area and graduated from
Billings Senior High in 1940. She was united in marriage on June
5, 1948, to Stanley E. Anderson in Billings.
She served as a WAVE (Women Accepted for Volunteer Emergency
Service) in the Womens Reserve of the U.S. Naval Reserve
from 1943 to 1945 and was stationed at Clinton NAS,
Oklahoma. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran
Church, and served on the board of the Billings Chapter of
the Alzheimer's Association.
She is survived by three children: a son, Wayne Anderson;
two daughters, Laurie Anderson and Wendy Anderson; one
grandson, Jake; and one granddaughter, Sawyer; all of
Billings; and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in
death by her husband, Stanley, four brothers; Albert,
Richard, Karl and Roland, and her sister Delia Boskill.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be
made to the Billings Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association
or Trinity Lutheran Church Debt Fund.
Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be 11am Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church.
