Ervin W. Freeck
Ervin W. Freeck, 87, passed away on Friday,
September 18,2009, in Billings, Montana.
Ervin was born on July 2, 1922 in Medford, Wisconsin to Della and Charlie Freeck. He went to school in Medford and started life working for International Harvester Company in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He then joined the Army and served at the Presidio in San Francisco, California during World War II with the medical corp. In 1945 he began working for Greyhound Corporation as a driver and spent the next 40 years driving for the company in Minnesota, Wisconsin, Montana and North Dakota.
On September 29, 1951 he married Delores Leonardi in Billings, Montana and the spent the next 58 years as a couple in Billings. Ervin was a member of the local Elk’s Club and enjoyed his years of retirement with his grandkids fishing on the Stillwater or traveling to various parts of the country and Europe. He also enjoyed spending time working on various projects and maintaining his lawn and homes and helping his son on projects around his home.
Ervin was preceded in death by his parents Della and Charlie, brothers Ronald, Harold, sisters Gladys, Florence and is currently survived by his sister Liddy Pinch of Medford, Wisconsin and her family. He is survived by his wife Delores, Son Randy (Laurie) Freeck, and his two grandchildren Kendra A. Freeck and Matthew T. Freeck, Rosie Freeck and Family along with Leon Wiese and his family and his many nieces and nephews that grew to know and enjoy his company.
Cremation has taken place and Ervin had requested that their not be a funeral so this is the wish and of his family. In lieu of flowers and such the family would request that memorials be made to Rocky Mountain Hospice, Northern Rockies Radiation Oncology Center or a charity of your choice.
