Adam M. Dockter

 

Adam M. Dockter, 90 of Billings, passed away early Wednesday, September 30, 2009 in Billings.

The son of August M. and Matilda Dockter, Adam was born March 3, 1919 in Streeter, ND. On April 8, 1942 he married Christine Klundt. They farmed for two years before moving to Portland Oregon where they both worked in the shipyards as welders. In 1945 they moved back to North Dakota and farmed

In 1951 their daughter Vicki was born and the family moved to Billings in 1952 where Adam worked as a boiler maker welder until his retirement in 1978.

Adam enjoyed traveling to visit his family in North Dakota, California and Oregon. He loved to fish and take care of his yard.

Survivors include his wife Christine, daughter Vicki and her husband Jim, two brothers, Edwin of Streeter, ND and Howard and his wife Lori of Gackle, ND, and two sisters, Viola Remboldt of Streeter, ND and Ruth Fischer and her husband Elroy of Valley City, ND.

Visitation will be 2-8pm Friday at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary. Funeral services will be 11am Saturday at Peace Lutheran church with interment to be in St. Luke’s Cemetery, Streeter, ND.

Memorials may be made to Peace Lutheran Church.
