Teresa Rossetto

Teresa Rossetto, a long-time resident of Billings, Montana, died peacefully Thursday the 19th of November at Eagle Cliff Manor.
Teresa was the only child of Dominic and Beulah Castellano. She was born on March 12, 1918 in Red Lodge, Montana. Teresa was raised in Red Lodge and received a degree in education from Saint Catherine University, Saint Paul, Minnesota. After college, Teresa returned to Red Lodge and married John B. Rossetto on December 3, 1940. Teresa and John moved to Billings, Montana in 1945 and resided there for the rest of their lives. Teresa showed great faith and courage when she was severely injured and John was killed in a tragic auto accident in 1965 while on vacation in Italy celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary. Teresa was very strong in helping her family cope with this loss.
Teresa and her husband John were leaders in the Billings Catholic community. She was a member of numerous women’s faith groups including the Secular Franciscan Order. She was a dedicated volunteer in the Billings community with service to numerous civic, youth, catholic education, and Saint Vincent Healthcare programs.
Teresa loved entertaining and socializing, enjoying bridge club, shopping, and traveling with her many dear friends. Teresa and John enjoyed dancing and entertaining family and friends at many parties and family gatherings.
Teresa was a loving and caring mother and will be deeply missed by her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Her children are thankful for the wonderful and long life they had with their mother, and that her life ended peacefully after several long years of declining health.
Teresa is survived by her children, Domenic (Carmie) Rossetto of Tacoma, WA, Kate Rossetto, Tom (Lynn) Rossetto, and Teresa Rossetto all of Billings; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; and one great great grandchild.
Teresa’s family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the care givers of Eagle Cliff Manor for the years of loving care they gave their mother.

The family will be receiving friends for visitation on Tuesday, November 24 from 4-6 p.m., at Michelotti-Sawyers Mortuary. Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 p.m., Wednesday, at St. Patrick’s Co-Cathedral. Rite of Committal will be at Holy Cross Cemetery following the reception.

I can close my eyes and hear your mom laugh. What a wonderful woman! I know that your dad was waiting at the gates of Heaven for her, and Bino and Ginger were in the welcoming throng!
