Cecily Graf

Cecily GrafCecily Graf joined her beloved Sheridan on May 15, 2009.

She was born November 13, 1923 to Molly and Arthur Caunter in Vancouver, B. C.

She had an adventurous childhood growing up on the beaches of Vancouver.

During WW II she worked for CP Airlines repairing planes as they returned from war. During this time she met a dashing American sailor, Sheridan Graf.  They married January 16, 1946 and made their home at 903 Princeton, Billings where she resided until shortly before her passing.

Her Anglican belief led her to become one of the first families of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Mission.  Her hobbies included her garden, bowling, sewing & knitting. After her children were grown, she discovered income tax preparation and worked several years as a tax preparer and after retirement continued to volunteer her services at the Senior Citizens Center.

She is survived by son Paul of Shepherd, daughters Nancy Graf and Laurie (Dennis) Sticka of Billings, grandson John (Kelly) Graf & their sons Hudson and Kye, and granddaughters Dani, Kelsey, and Allie Sticka of Billings.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Thanks to the Sweetwater Retirement Community leaders and staff for their commitment in providing excellent care for our mother.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be 11am Wednesday at St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church. Private interment services are planned for a later date.

Paul, Nancy, Laurie and families--

I'm sorry to hear of your mom's passing. She has been so much a part of all our lives, it feels like the end of an era. She taught all of us a lot about spirit and courage in dealing with her illness throughout her life. She was always fun at the family gatherings, and she was so thoughtful toward my parents, Myrona nd Ellie. I know she missed your dad very much, and now she is with him, so in that respect, we are happy forher. Please know that Bob and I are thinking of you and wishing you well.

Paul, Nancy, Laurie and families -

Princeton will never be the same without your Mom and my Mom traveling back and forth to each others homes to visit, keep us kids in line (an impossible task), and share the day to day happenings. How they loved to bowl! I will always remember Cecily making clothes for me before I went away to college - just a perfect fit. My childhood was much richer because of our great neighbors! My deepest sympathy goes out to all of you. Mothers like ours are a treasure. Blessings, Kay Andrus Padilla
