I had Kalin as a student in 5th and 6th grade at Ponderosa Elementary in my library classes. He was a very bright and interesting young man and he had a quirky sense of humor. My husband and I also know his father, Joel. We are so very sorry for your loss and want to express our deepest sympathy for a young life that was ended way too soon.

My deepest condolences to Kalin's family. Kalin was my student in fifth grade at Ponderosa. He was immensely talented and had a wide variety of interests. I will always remember singing country music songs with Kalin and enjoying his quick and insightful humor. Such a bright spot in the lives of many, I ache for your loss and will keep you in my prayers. Robin Richter

Kalin has been my friend for seventh eighth and ninth grade, he was always a great friend and liked to make people laugh. I'm really sad to see him go so soon, and I'm very sorry. We will all miss him, family friends and students. Sara Pemberton
