Anna Marie (Heine) Hartpence, 76 of Billings, passed away on December 19, 2009, at St. John’s Lutheran Home in Billings.  Anne was born on February 16, 1933 to Henry and Katherine (Evig) Heine, in Bridger, MT.

The last years of Anne’s life were spent at Magic City Terrace in Billings Heights, until declining health forced her to move to St. John’s Lutheran Home where she remained until passing away.

Anna was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Reuben and Art Heine; and sisters, Minnie Taylor, Caroline Buttman, and Polly Kaiser.

She is survived by her children, Lance Smith of Jacksonville, FL, Tina Smith of Coalville, WA, Lorna Smith of Chewelah, WA, and Gary Smith of Fairbanks, AK; brothers John Heine and Jim Heine of Billings; sisters Alma Pederson of Helena, and Olga Kaiser of Billings; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.
