Doug was a lover of life and had deep love and respect for family and friends, especially his aunt Joann Coburn. He was an unselfish person who was always there when you needed him, dropping everything to come to your aid. He loved spending time with his cousins and always had a joke for everyone, because he loved to hear people laugh.
He was a hunter and fisherman, who loved to

I didn't know Doug personally but met him through his cousin Del "Big Mo" Henman. When invited to a function of Mary and Del's and if there was pork or beef I would know that Doug was going to bring his famous BBQ sauce. When Mary had Del's 50th birthday party and Doug got up and roasted Del I don't think I had laughed that hard in a long when he was telling about Del getting his hair cut and his nostril wax for Vince's wedding. I know Del thought a lot of Doug more of a brother than a cousin. Please know that you and your family are in my prayers and thoughts. May Doug be at peace and he is probably fishing/hunting or having a great time with his Dad Wally and your family has a very special guardian angel watching over all of you.

I never knew you were sick Doug. I did wonder why your emails and jokes had slowed. I know now. I will miss you this year at the RPM contest, but will always have you in my heart.

Doug was always willing to help out, share some info on line or share his latest project with the club members! On behalf of the Rimrock Plastic Modelers Club he was one of our "best" and he will be greatly missed To Colleen and Family: If there is anything the club can do please don't hesitate to call Bob Malcolm VP Rimrock Plastic Modelers
This is for Colleen. It seems a bit awkward writing to you. I never knew you or your husband, but my husband(Ron Kroll) like yours, was taken from me by cancer on January 2, 2009. He was 56. Ron also attended West High and perhaps they knew each other (or not). Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that I too am suffering a deep loss, and to say that if you need another person to talk to, I would be more than happy to meet you somewhere for a soda, or just to talk through e-mail. I think the mortuary keeps a record of the e-mails sent if you would rather talk through e-mail. It helps when you have someone else who has been through this same thing. I hope you consider responding. If you don't, I completely understand because after all, we are complete strangers. Take care of yourself and know that my prayers are with you and your family.
