Esther "Patsy" Cunnington
Esther
Patricia "Patsy" Cunnington passed away at St. Johns Lutheran Home
on August 19, 2009. She was born on October 9, 1921 in Harlowton, Montana, and was the daughter of
Jack and Esther Helman. She remained in Harlowton, and on May 17,
1959, married Stanley Cunnington, also of Har10wton. Patsy and
Stanley initially retired in Harlowton, but later moved to Lewistown
for a few years. They finally moved to Billings in the early 1990's, initially living at the Prairie
Towers
retirement home, and then moving in late 1992 to St. Johns Lutheran
Home.
Patsy was a member of
American
Lutheran
Church
in Harlowton for 55 years, and later transferred her membership to Atonement Lutheran
Church in Billings. She was active in the Eastern Star
in Harlowton and Lewistown, and was also a member of the VFW
Auxiliary 1551.
Patsy is survived by a sister-in-law Daisy
Nelson of Great Falls and several nieces and nephews. Services will
be at 11 AM Saturday August 22 at the Ocee Johnson Chapel in the
main building of St. Johns Lutheran Home. Interment will be at
Mountview Cemetery
Patsy spent more than 16 years at
St. Johns Lutheran Home, and was well liked and widely known there.
The family would like to thank the staff of St. Johns Lutheran Home
for the wonderful care she received as a resident there.
Accordingly, any memorials should be given to St. Johns Lutheran
Ministries.
